This is the first book that I was able to finish in one day. The story was extremely sweet.
I haven't enjoyed the last couple of Nicholas Sparks' books I've read, so I wanted to return to the book that got me hooked on him to begin with -- The Notebook. Truth be told, it's pretty sappy, but it's also unbelievably romantic and makes me cry every time I read it.
I had to push myself to get through the first hundred pages or so, but I found the second half much easier to read. It wasn't bad, and I can see why people love it, but I guess it's not really my kind of book.
