Navigating the space between brilliance and madness

I came upon this book in the library at a time i was finally coming to grips with the fact that my 'mercurial-ness' and dramatic mood swings were actually the result of being bipolar. i had been diagnosed with it 7 years ago but denied it, thinking the only thing to do about it was be put on drugs that numbed my 'brilliant' mind (i truly am an artist and just have a hard time 'getting it out there' due to social anxiety, depression and/or manic behavior that caused me to make commitments i couldn't keep).
